Traffic Impacts:
Two lanes of traffic are now open in both directions. The loop ramp is open going into Midtown Shopping Center. The width restriction has been removed.

The project will have other one lane closures in each quadrant to construct the new roadway section. The Contractor is not allowed more than 163 days for the total amount of full day one-lane closures in both directions. The majority of this project is being constructed with minimal traffic impacts but unfortunately some of these lane closures are required but will be minimized.

September:

  • Form and pour Span 1 deck - Section over the Rivertrail
  • Form and pour Pier 4 EB and WB columns- Piers between UP and BNSF railroads
  • Install falsework for Span 5 - Section over the loop ramp
  • Install stability prop for Pier 3 - Pier by River levee
  • Form and pour Pier Table for Pier 3 WB - Pier by River levee

River Trail is now open with a tunnel under the bridge construction area.

The Northside sidewalk will remain closed for the duration of the project. Please use loop ramp on East end of project to cross 4th street.
