Salaries
The salary range
for each CDOT job class is listed in the Compensation
Pay Plan. An employee's salary cannot
be less than the minimum of the pay range for
a job class, nor can it exceed the maximum of
the pay range. Most positions are filled
at the CDOT Hire Rate, which is typically set
at the minimum of the pay range. However,
salary is negotiable, pending approval of the
CDOT Executive Director.
Salaries of positions
in designated "Hard to Fill" locations are
set at 15% above the minimum of the pay range.
When applicable, hard to fill locations are listed
in the job announcement.
Employees have the opportunity each July to receive
an Achievement Pay salary increase based upon their performance ratings.
Consistently exceptional performance makes an employee eligible for a bonus.
