I-70 TRAFFIC ADVISORY
EAST OF IDAHO SPRINGS
CLEAR CREEK COUNTY – Work near the Twin Tunnels, just east of Idaho Springs, will impact Interstate 70 traffic next week.
On Tuesday, February 26, the left lane of eastbound I-70 will be closed, beginning just east of Idaho Springs and continuing the tunnel, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for retaining wall work. Drivers should anticipate slowing through the area.
On Wednesday, February 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., safety considerations will require periodic traffic stops up to 20 minutes on eastbound I-70 for rock scaling operations above the eastbound tunnel. CDOT will monitor traffic volumes and, if necessary, modify the number of stops.
