U.S. 285 PROJECT RESUMES
JEFFERSON COUNTY – The widening of U.S. 285, just south of Conifer, will start again next week after a winter hiatus.
Since the project began in the spring of 2006, two miles of U.S. 285 has being widened from two to four lanes, between Foxton Road and Richmond Hill, and a new interchange constructed at Richmond Hill Road. Approximately two months of work remains, including:
top layer paving
completion of earthwork on old U.S. 285 near RTD park-n-Ride
completion of landscaping
Northbound work hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fridays. Southbound work hours are 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fridays. Occasional traffic stops should be anticipated, primarily for the paving operation.
