DENVER – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has begun expansion joint repairs on the ramp from southbound I-25 to eastbound I-76/70th Avenue. The repairs will take approximately one to two weeks to complete, weather permitting.
Work will take place seven nights a week with lane closures taking place during the following hours:
Friday and Saturday: Single lane closures can take place between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. and double lane closures can take place between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m.
Sunday through Thursday: Single lane closures can take place between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. and double lane closures can take place between midnight and 5 a.m.
All work is weather permitting. Delays are expected and alternate routes are advised. There may be detour route set up from 70th Avenue traffic on Saturday, May 10th and Sunday, May 11th. CDOT would like to remind motorists to be patient, plan ahead and “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
The expansion joint work is part of a $630,000 project, which repairs bridge expansion joints in nine locations across the Denver metro area. The entire project will be complete by the end of May 2008.
