TRAFFIC ADVISORY
TRAFFIC SIGNAL UPGRADE PROJECT UNDER IN BOULDER

BOULDER COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has started a traffic signal upgrade project within the City of Boulder. The project will upgrade signals in six locations: Broadway Street at Dartmouth Avenue, Broadway Street at Hanover Avenue, Broadway Street at Baseline Road, 28th Street at Canyon Boulevard, Foothills Parkway at Colorado Avenue, Foothills Parkway at Baseline Road.

For the week of Monday, May 12th through Friday, May 16th, the following lane closures will take place:

Throughout the project, motorists can expect single lane closures at various locations Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Occasional work may take place on Saturdays between 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. In addition, there may be some pedestrian/bicycle detours.

Delays are expected throughout the project and alternate routes are advised. CDOT would like to remind motorists to stay alert, obey all traffic signs and flaggers and “Slow for the Cone Zone.”

Sturgeon Electric is the contractor for this $697,000 project, which will be complete by the end of September 2008.
