TRAFFIC ADVISORY
PAVING TO CAUSE DELAYS ON FEDERAL BOULEVARD AND 80TH AVENUE THE REST OF THE WEEK

DENVER – Tomorrow, June 4th through Friday, June 6th, the Colorado Department of Transportation will be paving near the intersection of Federal Boulevard and 80th Avenue as part of an intersection improvement project. The work will take place between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. each day and will require various lane closures on Federal Boulevard and 80th Avenue.

Tomorrow and Thursday, work will take place on northbound and southbound Federal Boulevard. There will be various single lane closures and closures of some turn lanes during work hours. On Friday, work will take place on 80th Avenue, which may require a full closure of eastbound or westbound 80th Avenue. Major delays are expected, especially on Friday, and alternate routes are strongly advised.

Overall, this project widens Federal Boulevard and 80th Avenue to accommodate new double left turn movements from northbound Federal Boulevard to westbound 80th Avenue and a new right turn lane from southbound Federal Boulevard to westbound 80th Avenue.

Jalisco International, Inc. is the contractor for this $4.5 million project. The entire project will be complete by the end of June 2008 with all major work wrapping up in the next couple of weeks.
