NEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECT
ANOTHER RESURFACING PROJECT BEGINS ON COLFAX AVENUE
DENVER Tomorrow, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will begin a resurfacing project on Colfax Avenue (US 40) between Colorado Boulevard (State Highway 2) and Quebec Street. The project will rotomill and pave approximately two miles of Colfax Avenue in asphalt and replace curb and gutter, curb ramps and sidewalk.
This is a simple resurfacing project that will only take a couple of months to complete, said CDOT Project Engineer Bryan Kalliokoski. We plan to keep access to businesses open and minimize traffic delays as much as possible throughout the project, but motorists should still expect some minor delays.
Throughout the project, motorists can expect single lane closures Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Minor delays are expected and alternate route are advised.
CDOT would like to remind motorists to Slow for the Cone Zone and obey all construction signs and flaggers.
Premier Paving Inc. is the contractor of this $1.5 million project, which should be complete by the end of August 2008.
