WEEKLY LANE CLOSURE REPORT FOR PAVING AND SIGNAL REPLACEMENT PROJECTS
BOULDER COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) continues a signal upgrade project and a paving project within the City of Boulder. For the week of Tuesday, May 27th through Friday, May 30th the following lane closures will take place (please note that there will be no work on Monday, May 26th):
Signal Upgrade Project:
Northbound Broadway Street at Dartmouth Avenue: The right lane of northbound Broadway Street will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Southbound Foothills Parkway at Baseline Road: The right lane of southbound Foothills Parkway will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
Paving Project:
Northbound and Southbound Broadway Street between Eastman Avenue and 27th Way: The left lane of northbound and southbound Broadway Street will be closed 24 hours a day starting at 6 a.m. on Tuesday and continuing until 8 p.m. on Friday. In addition, one left turn lane from 27th Way to southbound Broadway will be closed as well as the pedestrian crossing on the south side of Broadway at 27th Way during this same time period.
Northbound Broadway Street at South Boulder Creek: The right lane of northbound Broadway Street will be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
The signal project upgrades signals in six locations: Broadway Street at Dartmouth Avenue, Broadway Street at Hanover Avenue, Broadway Street at Baseline Road, 28th Street at Canyon Boulevard, Foothills Parkway at Colorado Avenue, Foothills Parkway at Baseline Road. This project is scheduled to be complete by the end of September 2008.
The paving project resurfaces approximately four miles of Broadway Street (State Highway 93) between Eldorado Springs Drive (SH 170) and Regent Drive. This project is scheduled to be complete by the end of August 2008. Delays are expected throughout the week and alternate routes are advised.
CDOT would like to remind motorists to stay alert, obey all traffic signs and flaggers and “Slow for the Cone Zone.” Weekly lane closure information can also be found at http://www.dot.state.co.us/TravelInfo/currentcond/ under “Denver Closures.”
