WEEKLY LANE CLOSURE REPORT FOR PAVING AND SIGNAL REPLACEMENT PROJECTS IN BOULDER

BOULDER COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) continues a signal upgrade project and a paving project within the City of Boulder. For the week of Sunday, June 29 th through Thursday, July 3 rd, the following lane closures will take place (please note that no work will take place on Friday, July 4 th.

Signal Upgrade Project:

• Southbound Broadway Street at Baseline Road : The right lane of southbound Broadway Street will be closed Sunday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• Northbound and Southbound Broadway Street at Hanover Avenue : The right lane of northbound and southbound Broadway Street will be closed Monday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• Northbound and Southbound Broadway Street at Dartmouth Avenue : The right lane of northbound and southbound Broadway Street will be closed Tuesday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• Northbound and Southbound Foothills Parkway at Colorado Avenue : The right lane of northbound and southbound Foothills Parkway will be closed Wednesday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• Southbound Foothills Parkway at Baseline Road : The right lane of southbound Foothills Parkway will be closed Wednesday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Paving Project:

• Northbound and Southbound Broadway Street between Table Mesa Drive and Dartmouth Avenue: There will be various single lane closures on northbound and southbound Broadway Street from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Sunday and Monday for rotomilling.
• Northbound Broadway Street between Hanover Avenue and just south of Table Mesa Drive: The right lane of northbound Broadway Street will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday for guardrail work.
• Northbound and Southbound Broadway Street between Dartmouth Avenue and Rayleigh: There will be various single lane closures on northbound and southbound Broadway from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday for rotomilling.
• Northbound Broadway Street between Table Mesa Drive and Baseline Road: The right lane of northbound Broadway Street will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday for guardrail work.
• Southbound Broadway Street between Regents Drive and Baseline Road: The right lane of northbound Broadway Street will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday for guardrail work.

The signal project upgrades signals in six locations: Broadway Street at Dartmouth Avenue, Broadway Street at Hanover Avenue, Broadway Street at Baseline Road, 28 th Street at Canyon Boulevard, Foothills Parkway at Colorado Avenue, Foothills Parkway at Baseline Road. This project is scheduled to be complete by the end of September 2008.

The paving project resurfaces approximately four miles of Broadway Street (State Highway 93) between Eldorado Springs Drive (SH 170) and Regent Drive. This project is scheduled to be complete by the end of August 2008.

Delays are expected throughout the week and alternate routes are advised. CDOT would like to remind motorists to stay alert, obey all traffic signs and flaggers and “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
