CONSTRUCTION PROJECT UPDATE
RESURFACING PROJECT ON KIPLING STREET WRAPS UP TODAY
JEFFERSON COUNTY – Today, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) completed the resurfacing project on Kipling Street (State Highway 391) between 6th Avenue and Colfax Avenue. The project rotomilled and paved one mile of Kipling Street in asphalt, repaired some curb and gutter and improved drainage on Kipling Street between 13th Avenue and 13th Place.
“Motorists have encountered some traffic impacts for about three months and we truly thank them for their patience,” said CDOT Project Engineer Brenda Morales “Now that the project is complete, motorists will travel on a much improved surface without the drainage issues near 13th Avenue.”
While the resurfacing project is complete, motorists may still encounter lane closures and traffic impacts on Kipling Street due to the Regional Transportation District’s West Corridor FasTracks project.
Brannan Sand and Gravel, Inc. was the contractor of this $825,000 resurfacing project.
