TRAFFIC ADVISORY
CDOT MAINTENANCE CREWS TO CONDUCT WORK ON THE I-25 EAST FRONTAGE ROAD NEXT WEEK

BROOMFIELD COUNTY – Tuesday, July 29th through Thursday, July 31st, Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) maintenance crews will conduct a chip seal project on the I-25 East Frontage Road between State Highway 7 and the Erie exit.

“This is a preventative maintenance project that will help preserve the existing pavement and prevent cracking and deterioration,” said CDOT Maintenance Supervisor Al Roys. “This type of project is important in maintaining an efficient transportation system.”

During the project, motorists can expect single-lane alternating traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday. Flaggers and pilot cars will be used to direct motorists through the work zone. On Thursday, crews will be on site sweeping the roadway. There should not be any lane closures, but motorists should be aware of the sweeping activities and should leave room between their vehicle and the sweeper.

CDOT would like to remind motorists to obey all construction signs and flaggers and to “Slow for the Cone Zone.”

The chip seal project should be completed by 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 31st, weather permitting.
