There is a 30-day comment period for the EA, which is from November 19, 2007 through December 18th, 2007. All comments on the EA are due by December 18, 2007. They may be made through the website or by filling out the comment sheet, which can be found here and mailed or faxed to the following:

The Proposed Action (Build Alternative) is Alternative 3 Curved. A detailed analysis of the impacts of this alternative can be found in the EA, which is posted above. The major features of this alternative are as follows:

  • Addition of a third northbound lane.
  • Widening of existing lanes to 11 feet.
  • Construction of a 16 foot raised median.
  • Widening of existing sidewalks/amenity zone to 8 feet.
  • Realignment and potential installation of a traffic signal at Bayaud Avenue .

Schedule

The Federal Boulevard Environmental Assessment will take about two years to complete. The study started in August 2005 and is expected to be completed in early 2008, following the chart below.
