On Oct. 21, the Colorado Department of Transportation, Pitkin County and the City of Aspen held a public open house meeting to present the conceptual Maroon Creek Bridge replacement design options and the recommended bridge structure to the general public and elected officials.

Bridge design team members and CDOT officials greeted the general public, reviewed all bridge structure alternatives, and met one-on-one with attendees to answer questions. Sign-in and comment sheets were available for participants to provide their comments and feedback.

The meeting adjourned with unanimous support from elected officials to move forward on the single concrete box girder bridge design.
