| Executive Order D 0010
93 established the Governor’s Advocate Corps in 1993. In 2007, Governor
Ritter has changed the name of the Corp and reestablished it in Executive
Order D 023 07 in order to assist constituents with resolving
state government issues. The Citizen ’s Advocates strive to remedy
concerns by facilitating constituent interaction with state agencies.

The Citizen's Advocate for Transportation acts as a liason between
the public and the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT)
reviewing each concern and forwarding the issue to the appropriate
division within CDOT for follow up and resolution. Contact can be
made by email, telephone, fax, or regular mail. Before contacting
the Advocate please determine whether your concern, problem or complaint
is within the jurisdiction of the Department of Transportation.
If your complaint is regarding a local or federal government issue,
it cannot be resolved through the Department of Transportation Advocacy
Office. CDOT does not have jurisdiction over the cities, counties,
railroads, or tollroads.
Each state department has a Citizen's Advocate contact. Check
your local blue pages for a listing of Governmental Agency telephone
numbers or visit the State
of Colorado website.
