Click It or Ticket 2008 Click It or Ticket Seat Belt Enforcement Campaign in Denver 2008 Click It or Ticket Seat Belt Enforcement Campaign in Colorado Springs 2008 Click It or Ticket Seat Belt Enforcement Campaign in Grand Junction Welcome to the website for the 2007-2008 Click It or Ticket seat belt enforcement campaign. Between May 12th and June, 2008, the Colorado Department of Transportation, Colorado State Patrol and 100 local law enforcement agencies will conduct an intensive public awareness and enforcement campaign to increase seat belt use and save lives on Colorado highways. Since Click It or Ticket began six years ago, seat belt use in Colorado has increased from 72 percent to 81 percent – That's roughly 270,000 more people buckling up in Colorado ! The goal of Click It or Ticket is to increase seat belt use and save lives on our highways. In 200, 389 drivers and passengers died on Colorado highways and 206 (53%) of them weren't buckled up. Teens are particularly at risk. Last year, nearly 62 percent of teens killed in traffic crashes were not wearing seat belts. This Web site has fact sheets and statistics that show how seat belt use has improved in Colorado and how traffic deaths for drivers and passengers have decreased over the years. Thank you for your help in spreading the word about the Click It or Ticket campaign. After this year's Click It or Ticket campaign, we hope many more Coloradans will choose to wear seat belts in every vehicle on every trip. Posters and Brochures
