The primary purpose of this improvement project is to relieve congestion and improve access and safety for the portion of US 34 (also known as Eisenhower Boulevard) between US 287 (Lincoln Avenue and Cleveland Avenue one-way pair) and Larimer County Road 3 (LCR 3). The project study area has been extended, west to Garfield Avenue and East 1200 feet passed LCR3. These extensions are to accommodate the shift back to four - lanes at each end. Area residents and visitors using this corridor can readily observe the increased congestion and safety concerns. Please read the FAQs and project description to find out more. Please contact us with any questions or comments.
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) have assembled a team to study this corridor, prepare an Environmental Assessment (EA) to examine reasonable and feasible solutions to address the corridor transportation needs and facilitate community outreach for this regionally significant transportation corridor.
The team will work closely with the cities of Loveland and Johnstown, Larimer County and other stakeholders. Outreach efforts include project newsletters, this website, meetings, open houses, and a public hearing. To make sure your comments are seen and your questions are answered please contact us.
