The US 50 Corridor East project is focused on planning for the future transportation needs of the Lower Arkansas Valley. Major construction and maintenance projects may occur on occasion, to provide a smooth, safe and dependable driving surface. CDOT is committed to continuing its maintenance and safety initiatives while it plans for the future.

7-1-08 - U.S. 50 PASSING LANE PROJECT BEGINS NEXT WEEK - PUEBLO COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will begin constructing an eastbound and westbound passing lane along a three-mile segment of U.S. 50, beginning nine miles west of Fowler, on Monday, July 7. Along with adding lanes between mile 338 and mile 341, just east of 59th Lane, work will include shoulder widening, asphalt paving, extension of culverts and installation of new right-of-way fence.

3-21-07 - Bridge Project set to start in SE Colorado Otero/Prowers Counties A Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) project that will repair or partially replace highway bridges near Manzanola, Lamar and La Junta is scheduled to begin next week. Completed
