RAMP CLOSURES AT I-70/E-470 SUNDAY & MONDAY
AURORA – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will have ramp closures in place at the Interstate 70/E-470 Interchange next week for rotomilling and paving operations.
On Sunday, August 10 and Monday, August 11, the ramp from eastbound I-70 to E-470 will be closed from 8 p.m. to midnight. Drivers can access E-470 by exiting eastbound I-70 at Tower Road, south on Tower to Colfax Avenue (U.S. 40/U.S. 287), east on Colfax, then turning onto the Colfax Frontage Road, just prior to the I-70 interchange.
On Sunday, August 10 and Monday, August 11, the ramp from westbound I-70 to E-470 will be closed from midnight to 5 a.m. Drivers can access E-470 by continuing west on I-70 to Tower Road and going northbound on Tower to Peña Boulevard and east on Peña to E-470.
Time permitting, on Monday, August 11, the ramp at the signalized interchange from northbound E-470 to westbound I-70/Colfax Avenue will be closed from midnight to 5 a.m. Drivers can access westbound I-70 by using the flyover ramp from northbound E-470. Northbound drivers needing to access westbound Colfax Avenue will need to exit E-470, just south of I-70.
Motorists are reminded to please Slow for the Cone Zone, stay alert and pay attention to and obey all work zone/advisory signs and flaggers.
