MAROON CREEK BRIDGE WORK UPDATE:
BRIDGE DECK TO BE SEALED THIS WEEKEND AND ON SEPT. 6 & 7
ASPEN – An epoxy sealant will placed on the deck of the new Maroon Creek Bridge for waterproofing and skid resistance. Crews will complete this work over two weekends to help minimize impacts to travelers.
On this Saturday and Sunday, August 23 and 24, the up-valley lanes will be sealed, with little or no traffic interference (since all traffic is currently traveling on the down-valley side). During the weekend of September 6 and 7, all traffic will be shifted to the up-valley side while the down-valley lanes are sealed. There will be some minor traffic delays as the lanes are shifted, then minimal impacts as the work is being performed. Traffic will be shifted back to the down-valley side late Sunday night, as the Aspen bus lanes project continues.
Notices will be sent in the near future detailing work and any changes in traffic impacts on the bus lanes project.
