4th Street Bridge
UPDATE

PUEBLO – Due to the recent heavy rainfall, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will keep 4th Street in its current configuration with only one lane open in each direction on the eastern half of the 4th Street Bridge. In addition, the loop ramp between eastbound 4th Street and the Midtown Shopping Center will remain closed.

This temporary configuration will remain in place 24 hours a day until 7 a.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2008. CDOT was scheduled to open all lanes of 4th Street by August 16th, but due several severe storms in the last few days, crews were unable to complete the paving operations. Crews will work tomorrow and Wednesday finishing up paving, setting barrier and striping. While traffic is in this temporary configuration, the speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph and vehicles wider than 10 feet will not be allowed to travel through the area.

All lanes and the loop ramp will reopen by 7 a.m. on Thursday.

CDOT would like to remind motorists to obey all construction signs and flaggers and to “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
