PUEBLO, COLORADO – A public hearing to assess Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) contracting and purchasing practices with minority-and women-owned highway design, engineering and construction businesses will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2008, at the Pueblo City Hall at, 1 City Hall Place, Pueblo, CO 81003.
CDOT is requesting business owners who have done business or have attempted to do business with CDOT or any prime contractor working with the department between January 1, 2002 and July 31, 2007 to attend the public hearing and share their experiences. CDOT wants to improve its business practices with contractors and vendors, especially if barriers to participation, unfair procurement practices, or discriminatory actions exist.
