Noise Assessment and Mitigation Meeting
June 4, 2008

A Noise Assessment and Mitigation meeting was held on June 4, 2008 at the Lakewood Cultural Center . The purpose of the meeting was to provide information about existing and future noise levels along US 6, explain the CDOT noise analysis process, and discuss the locations of proposed new and reconstructed noise walls along US 6.

The meeting took place in an open house format, encouraging attendees to talk with project staff about the proposed improvements and noise analysis. CDOT gave a detailed presentation to summarize the study progress to date, explain the noise analysis process, and describe the noise level reductions that would occur with the construction of new noise walls on US 6 between Wadsworth Boulevard and Garrison Street.

Handouts were available with information about the study process, purpose and need for the project, noise analysis procedures, frequently asked questions, and a comment form.

Copies of the presentation, handouts, and other display materials are available for download on the Study Documents page.
