Public Open House #2
February 12, 2008

The second public open house was held on February 12, 2008 at the Lakewood Cultural Center Community Room. The purpose of the meeting was to present and explain the preliminary design concepts for the interchange and Wadsworth Boulevard , and present and explain the results of the Level 1 (fatal flaw) alternatives screening, which eliminated design concepts with fatal flaws from further consideration. The meeting took place in an open house format, encouraging attendees to talk with project staff about the various concepts and screening results. Information was also provided on the study process and purpose, existing and future traffic conditions, environmental resources, and water quality treatment features that will be considered. CDOT gave two detailed presentations to summarize the study progress to date and describe the design concepts and screening process. The presentation is available for download on the Study Documents page of this site.

Handouts were available with information about the study process, purpose and need for the project, noise analysis procedures, frequently asked questions, benefits of access management, Level 1 screening results, and a comment form. These handouts are available for download on the Study Documents page of this site.

Display materials showing the interchange and Wadsworth concepts are available for download on the Study Documents page.
