Public Open House #3 The third public open house was held on April 29, 2008 at the Lakewood Cultural Center. A make-up open house was held on May 21, 2008. The same information was presented at both meetings. The purpose of the meetings was to present the results of the Level 2 evaluation of the interchange and Wadsworth Boulevard design concepts; discuss the preliminary estimates of environmental, transportation, and property impacts that would result from the design concepts; and explain the decision process leading to preferred alternative recommendations for the interchange and Wadsworth Boulevard. The meetings took place in an open house format, encouraging attendees to talk with project staff about the proposed improvements and preliminary impact estimates. Information was also provided on the study process and purpose, existing and future traffic conditions, potential historic resources, and water quality treatment features that will be considered. CDOT gave a detailed presentation to summarize the study progress to date and describe the preferred alternatives for the interchange and Wadsworth Boulevard . Handouts were available with information about the study process, purpose and need for the project, noise analysis procedures, frequently asked questions, Level 2 screening results, and a comment form. Copies of the presentation, handouts, and other display materials are available for download on the Study Documents page. |
